One thing I think is funny is that we have a double standard in our government, in our corporations, and in our general society. Let me explain. I'm not sure what you know about the parties that go on in and around Washington DC, but they are well catered, and there are lots of prostitutes both young women, and young men available for either sex. As a matter fact there's so much of this going on, along with the proverbial wife swapping, and in office man-on-man, or woman-on-woman sex that I believe it is more rare for someone 'not to be involved' in some compromising acts, than to be engaged in it all.
No, I'm not a whistleblower, and most of this stays out of the media, but if you are in and around Washington DC and go to some of the parties that I've been to, it's pretty obvious what going on, and it is the norm. It's about power, money, politics, corruption, and sex. There are also a lot of illegal drugs going on from what I've seen, heard, and personally witnessed. Recently David Petraeus stepped down as the director of the CIA because he said he was having an extramarital affair.
That may be so, and most people would say that's inexcusable because the CIA engages in spy craft involving women all the time with other foreign spy targets and evildoer bad guys. It's the oldest trick in the book, so it's surprising that David Petraeus was involved in an affair, even if the gal was his biographer and a West Point graduate (obviously not a spy).
Still, it makes me wonder if everyone isn't keeping a log book of who is doing what with whom in case they can use it for political fodder later. In this case, David Petraeus was going to come before a congressional committee on what happened in Benghazi Libya with regards to the covert operation which went bad at the US Embassy, resulting in the deaths of four Americans including our ambassador to Libya. Is that a coincidence? He is the director of the CIA you know?
Is it a fair question to ask? Well, I would submit to you that having an extramarital affair isn't as big a deal as it used to be (no, I am not applauding it). For instance, the same day that news came out about David Petraeus stepping down, the CEO from Lockheed also admitted to a premarital affair and decided to resign. If extramarital affairs are so bad, and they are cause for someone to lose their career lifetime's work, then how come Bill Clinton was allowed to stay in office after some of his actions?
It seems to me there is quite a bit of dirty politics going on a Washington DC, and all these parties and all this sex (no, the Patraeus incident didn't involve one of those parties), and all these things these folks have been doing all along is starting to be used against them.
This article contains my opinions, and observations and experience in observing this behavior in Washington DC, and I'm not going to back down from what I've said here today. Things are pretty rotten in Washington, and if the common person knew what was happening, they would be appalled. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
